Refund Policy
Dracos Refund Policy
Effective Date: September 2026
Last Updated: September 2026
Version: 1.0
At Dracos, we want every purchase to provide genuine value. Because our marketplace primarily provides digital products that can be accessed or downloaded immediately after purchase, refunds are handled differently from physical-product purchases.
This Refund Policy explains when a buyer may request a refund, how refund requests are reviewed, and how refunds affect sellers.
This policy applies to purchases made through Dracos unless a product listing or applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
1. Digital Products and Refunds
Most products sold through Dracos are digital and may be delivered immediately after payment.
Examples include:
- Ebooks;
- Educational materials;
- Past questions and solutions;
- Templates;
- Digital documents;
- Software;
- Courses;
- Video and audio resources;
- Programming resources;
- Cybersecurity resources;
- Career materials;
- Business resources;
- AI prompt packs;
- Digital bundles.
Because digital products cannot always be returned in the same way as physical goods, a refund is not automatically available simply because a buyer changes their mind after purchasing or accessing a product.
However, legitimate problems with a purchase may qualify for a refund.
2. When You May Request a Refund
A buyer may request a refund where one or more of the following circumstances apply.
2.1 Product Is Significantly Different From Its Description
You may request a refund if the product you received is materially different from what was advertised.
Examples include:
- The listing promises 100 pages but the delivered file contains substantially less content without explanation;
- A product is advertised as containing specific resources that are missing;
- A product is advertised as a particular format but the delivered product does not reasonably correspond to the listing.
Minor differences that do not materially affect the product may not qualify.
3. Product Is Corrupted or Unusable
A refund may be considered if the purchased file is technically defective and cannot reasonably be opened, accessed, or used.
Before issuing a refund, Dracos may attempt to:
- Replace the file;
- Provide a corrected version;
- Restore access;
- Ask the seller to resolve the problem.
If the issue cannot reasonably be resolved, a refund may be provided.
4. Wrong Product Delivered
If you paid for one product but received a substantially different product due to a delivery or platform error, you may request a refund.
Where possible, Dracos may first provide the correct product.
5. Duplicate Charges
If the same purchase was unintentionally charged more than once because of a technical or payment-processing error, the duplicate transaction may be refunded.
Buyers should provide the relevant order or transaction information when reporting duplicate charges.
6. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions
If you believe a transaction was made without your authorization, contact Dracos as soon as possible.
We may investigate:
- Account activity;
- Order information;
- Payment transaction records;
- Device or security information where available;
- Download/access records;
- Other relevant evidence.
Confirmed unauthorized transactions may qualify for a refund, subject to applicable law and payment-provider procedures.
7. Product Removed for Copyright or Legal Reasons
If a purchased product is removed because Dracos determines that it may infringe intellectual property rights or otherwise violate applicable law, affected buyers may be eligible for an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund.
The appropriate remedy may depend on:
- The circumstances of the removal;
- Whether the product was accessed;
- The applicable license;
- The rights of the affected parties;
- Applicable law.
8. Platform or Delivery Failure
A refund may be considered if a technical failure on Dracos's side prevents a buyer from accessing a legitimately purchased product and the issue cannot reasonably be resolved.
We will generally attempt to restore access before issuing a refund.
9. When a Refund May Not Be Approved
A refund may be denied where:
- The buyer simply changes their mind after receiving the product;
- The buyer purchased the wrong product after ignoring the product description;
- The buyer did not read the product description or license terms;
- The buyer no longer wants the product;
- The buyer has already substantially used or consumed a digital product and there is no qualifying defect;
- The buyer downloaded the product and provides no legitimate reason for the refund;
- The product works as described;
- The buyer violates the product's license;
- The buyer attempts to obtain a refund after redistributing or reselling the product;
- The buyer provides false or misleading information;
- The refund request appears fraudulent or abusive;
- The issue is caused by the buyer's device, software, internet connection, or environment rather than the product;
- The buyer attempts to exploit the refund process.
This list does not override mandatory consumer rights.
10. Refund Request Period
Unless a product listing states a different period or applicable law provides otherwise, buyers should submit refund requests within 7 days of purchase.
For technical issues involving corrupted or inaccessible products, buyers should contact us as soon as the problem is discovered.
Requests submitted after the applicable period may still be considered where there are exceptional circumstances or where required by law.
11. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact Dracos through the official support channel published on the platform.
Include:
- Your Dracos account email;
- Order number;
- Product name;
- Date of purchase;
- Reason for the refund;
- Description of the problem;
- Relevant screenshots or evidence where appropriate.
Do not send passwords, payment PINs, full card numbers, or other sensitive authentication information with a refund request.
12. Refund Review Process
Once a refund request is submitted, Dracos may review relevant information including:
- Order details;
- Payment status;
- Product listing;
- Product files;
- Download records;
- Access records;
- Seller information;
- Communications;
- Previous refund activity;
- Evidence provided by the buyer.
For seller-created products, we may contact the seller to obtain additional information or attempt to resolve the issue.
Our goal is to review legitimate requests fairly and consistently.
13. Resolution Before Refund
Where appropriate, Dracos may attempt to resolve the problem before issuing a refund.
Possible solutions include:
- Corrected product file;
- Replacement file;
- Missing content;
- Updated version;
- Restored download access;
- Alternative delivery method;
- Seller-provided resolution.
If the issue is successfully resolved, a refund may no longer be necessary.
14. Refund Decisions
After reviewing a request, Dracos may:
- Approve a full refund;
- Approve a partial refund where appropriate;
- Provide a replacement or corrected product;
- Restore access to the purchased product;
- Request additional information;
- Deny the refund request.
Where a refund is denied, we may provide an explanation where appropriate.
15. Refund Method
Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method where technically and reasonably possible.
Depending on the payment provider, refund processing may take additional time after Dracos approves the refund.
The time required for funds to appear in the buyer's account may depend on:
- Payment provider processing;
- Mobile money services;
- Banking institutions;
- Payment network procedures.
Dracos cannot guarantee the processing time of an external financial institution.
16. Seller Impact
When a refund is approved for a seller's product, the associated seller earnings may be reversed.
The refunded amount may be deducted from:
- Available seller wallet balance;
- Pending seller earnings;
- Future earnings.
Marketplace commissions associated with the refunded transaction may also be reversed where applicable.
Sellers agree to cooperate with legitimate refund investigations.
17. Fraudulent Refund Requests
Dracos takes refund abuse seriously.
Examples of potentially abusive behavior include:
- Repeatedly purchasing and refunding products without legitimate reasons;
- Downloading a product and then falsely claiming it was never delivered;
- Sharing or redistributing a product before requesting a refund;
- Using multiple accounts to bypass refund restrictions;
- Providing false evidence;
- Making fraudulent payment disputes;
- Coordinating fake purchases or transactions.
Where abuse is suspected, Dracos may:
- Deny the refund;
- Restrict downloads;
- Suspend the account;
- Cancel pending transactions;
- Restrict future purchases;
- Recover amounts owed;
- Take other lawful action.
18. Chargebacks
If you believe there is a genuine problem with a transaction, we encourage you to contact Dracos before initiating a payment chargeback where possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve legitimate payment disputes.
However, nothing in this section prevents you from exercising rights available to you under applicable law or through your payment provider.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions or further investigation.
19. Seller-Specific Refund Policies
Sellers may provide additional refund terms for their products where permitted.
Any seller-specific refund terms must:
- Be clearly disclosed before purchase;
- Not contradict applicable law;
- Not mislead buyers;
- Not remove mandatory consumer protections;
- Not conflict with Dracos policies.
Where a seller provides more favorable refund terms, those terms may apply to the applicable product.
20. Subscriptions and Recurring Products
If Dracos introduces subscriptions or recurring digital services, separate cancellation and refund conditions may apply.
Any applicable subscription pricing, renewal terms, cancellation procedures, and refund conditions will be disclosed before purchase.
21. Free Products
Generally, free products are not eligible for monetary refunds because no purchase payment was made.
However, Dracos may remove or restrict free products that violate platform rules, intellectual property rights, or applicable law.
22. Promotional Purchases and Discounts
Products purchased using promotional discounts, coupons, credits, or other offers may be subject to additional conditions.
Where a refund is approved, the refunded amount may reflect the actual amount paid by the buyer rather than the product's original undiscounted price.
Promotional credits or coupons may not necessarily be refundable as cash unless required by applicable law.
23. Bundles
If a buyer purchases a bundle containing multiple digital products, refund eligibility may depend on whether:
- The entire bundle is defective;
- A substantial part of the bundle is missing;
- A particular product within the bundle is defective;
- The buyer has already accessed or downloaded substantial portions of the bundle.
Dracos may provide a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.
24. Access After a Refund
Once a refund has been approved, Dracos may revoke the buyer's entitlement to the refunded product.
This may include:
- Removing the product from the buyer's library;
- Disabling future downloads;
- Revoking access;
- Removing associated licenses.
The buyer must stop using and distributing a refunded product where the refund results in termination of the applicable license.
25. Product Removal After Purchase
If a product becomes unavailable after purchase because of circumstances such as:
- Copyright claims;
- Legal requirements;
- Seller account termination;
- Security concerns;
- Serious product violations;
Dracos may determine an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.
Where appropriate, this may include a refund or replacement.
26. Our Commitment to Fairness
Dracos aims to balance the interests of both buyers and sellers.
Our refund process is designed to:
- Protect buyers from defective or misleading products;
- Protect sellers from unreasonable refund requests;
- Discourage fraud and abuse;
- Resolve technical problems where possible;
- Respect applicable consumer and intellectual property laws.
27. Changes to This Refund Policy
Dracos may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
Material changes may be communicated through the website, account notifications, email, or other reasonable methods.
The updated policy will include a revised "Last Updated" date.
Changes will generally apply to purchases made after the effective date of the updated policy unless otherwise required by law.
